Turkey Tourism to start India

Turkey Tourism is making a website specially for the Indian market that will provide up-to-date info regarding the nation as a popular tourist place. Plans are already there to launch the site by end of this year. After revealing the site, the Turkey Tourism will make online training program for Indian travel agents and agents who would successfully finish the training program would be handed a Turkey Specialist certificate. This news was declared by Turkish Embassy in India Culture & Tourism Counselor Ozgur Ayturk.

More than the, Turkey Tourism also has plans to organize roadshows in Indian cities - Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai from 11th November onwards. Around twenty tourism and travel suppliers from Turkey are expected to take part in the roadshows, the preparation for that is underway, stated Ayturk.

Speaking regarding the recent political turmoil in Turkey, Ozgur Ayturk stated that the demonstrations have not impacted country's tourism industry. He told that it might have slightly affected Istanbul. Otherwise tourism in in the country is doing well. A whole lot of Indian tourists goes there. Cities namely Antalya, Cappadocia, Ismail besides Istanbul receive huge number of Indian visitors. He added that previous year, Turkey received 91000 Indian travelers and this year the country is expecting this figure to go up by 25 to 30 per cent.

In order to shake up trade and cooperation Indian Ocean Rim members, India is now thinking offering Visa on Arrival facility for the people of Mauritius as well as several other countries. Recently, Minster for Commerce, Industry and Textiles Anand Sharma told that India is considering Visa on Arrival for many countries, including Mauritius.
