MPSTDC all set to develop eleven royal properties

The MPSTDC (Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation) is looking to get old palaces as well as other properties in various locations throughout the state. Mohan Yadav, the Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation, told that they were looking to acquire eleven royal properties in various locations including Ratlam and Ujjain. Once these properties are acquired, they will be developed for the tourism purpose.

An official of the Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation told that they were interested in getting Kothi Palace and Kaliadeh Palace in Ujjain and also the palace of a royal family in Ratlam, apart from the other royal properties that are scattered throughout the state of Madhya Pradesh.

The MPSTDC is getting ready to get investments in the tourism sector in the forthcoming investors meet in Madhya Pradesh. Yadav added that their new policy in tourism sector have evoked good response. They have reserved a 550 hectare land bank and they were expecting to attract investments in PPP (Public-Private-Partnership) model from top groups.

He told that they are making budget hotels in places like Datia, Maheshwar and Ujjain and each of these big hotels would cost around Rs. 2 crore.

According to reports, the hotel charge will be start from Rs. 1000 and there will be fifty rooms in each hotel. The Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation chairman also added that chopper service will also be available to all the well known tourist places.
