India set to promote its tourist destinations

To promote Indian destinations across the world, a delegation guided by Union Tourism Minister K Chiranjeevi will have long meetings with travel operators in Berlin, Germany during an international tourism fair. Today, the Tourism Minister left for Berlin, Germany to be a part of the International Tourism Bourse where he will have meetings with tour operators, travel writers as well as other stakeholders, said a Tourism Ministry official.

The International Tourism Bourse is one of the top international travel related events that offers a platform for meetings and networking with top executives and leaders from all tourism industry segments from across the world. The Indian Pavilion's theme - find what you seek - is set up at an 870 sq meters area. It represents India as a tourist destination which has something to offer for all. Twelve states are also taking part as co-exhibitors in the India Pavilion.

In the event, India's Tourism Minister will also unveil 'Incredible India Travel Card'. The card, issued by Yes Bank in association with the ministry of tourism, is a prepaid travel card in Indian rupee denomination for inbound visitors. This can be pre-loaded with an amount of up to Rs 50000 at any time subject to basic KYC procedures.

This travel card will be distributed in the bank's branches, hotels and airport kiosks, government recognized 3rd party vendors like travel agents as well as Full-Fledged Money Changers. The 'Incredible India' card can be used to withdraw cash from ATMs across India and at any POS terminals.
